Meet Brooke

Known internationally for her work as a leading roles in the HBO hit series "Less Than Kind", Netflix series “Between”, and upcoming recurring role on “Workin’ Moms” (Season 6) the Winnipeg native has also had her Juno nominated music featured in television programs including the aforementioned Less Than Kind, Flashpoint (seen on CTV) Kim’s Convenience, Avocado Toast and feature films The Colossal Failure of the Modern Relationship, Hazy Little Thing and Polarized.

The Willow was Brooke’s debut recording. Written in her teens as an eight track introspective journey with a primary focus on her earlier influences, its sound still has its place firmly rooted in the Manitoba music scene.

A move to Toronto opened up a new realm of possibility, and the live R&B scene resonated on a deep level. Brooke dove headfirst into the genre, finding her inspiration and identity playing alongside powerhouses like JP Saxe, Jordan John and Ricky Tillo.

Most recently, Brooke lent her vocals as the touring backup singer for Francesco Yates, and sat as a member of the writing team for George Nozuka.

With two Juno noms for her latest work, there are few things holding this artist back from leaving her own mark on the genre with latest project "arthouse". Her neo-soul/pop sound is sure to place her in category with her contemporaries such as Jessie Ware, NAO and Lianne La Havas.

By balancing both a fresh musical endeavour, and a flourishing acting career, Palsson is truly solidifying her place in the entertainment industry.
